# VIDNT

> VIDNT is the Multi-CDN Stitcher: an AI brain scores every CDN for every viewer, continuously, and stitches one unbroken stream chunk by chunk from whichever source is best right now — switching mid-stream, per viewer, before anyone feels a thing. It works with the CDNs you already run, stays out of your delivery path, and speaks published standards only. VIDNT ("Video Neural Transmission") is patent-protected technology from Vimmi Communications Ltd.

## What it does
- Per-viewer, per-chunk routing decided during playback — not once at DNS time.
- Mid-stream CDN switching that moves sessions already in progress, with no restart.
- An in-server AI brain that scores CDNs on quality and cost and acts before alerts fire.
- Standards-native: CMCD and HLS/DASH Content Steering — no player plugin, no proprietary agent.
- Architected out of the critical path: if VIDNT stops, delivery continues on the last-known-good routing.
- Bring the CDNs and contracts you already have; VIDNT decides which one serves each chunk.

## What VIDNT is not
- Not a CDN. VIDNT owns no edge servers and delivers no bytes itself — it steers the CDNs you already contract with.
- Not a video-generation, AI-video, or video-hosting/API service. It does not create, transcode, store, or serve video; it decides which existing CDN each viewer's next chunk comes from.
- Not a player SDK or plugin. Steering is published through open HLS/DASH Content Steering, so standard players (hls.js, Shaka, dash.js, native) follow it with no client code.
